In this illustrated lecture, Dr. Beegel will explore how tourism based on Harriet Beecher Stowe’s mid-19th century novel The Pearl of Orr’s Island helped a small Maine fishing village reinvent itself for a new summer economy. Christmas by the Sea Fair (Sat. 3 Nov, 2018 9:00 am - 10:00 am)

All Elementary School Fair (Sat. 3 Nov, 2018 9:00 am - 10:00 am)

Join us for the 8th annual All Elementary School Craft Fair, the largest fundraiser for Coffin and Harriet Beecher Stowe schools. Nature Notes from Maine Book Signing (Sat. 3 Nov, 2018 9:30 am - 10:30 am)

Book signing with Orr's Island author Ed Robinson. Nature Notes from Maine: River Otters, Moose, Skunks and More, a collection of 40 stories about Maine's most beautiful and fascinating wildlife, is a collaboration between Robinson and the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust. All proceeds benefit the conservation work of HHLT. Orr's Island Library, 1699 Harpswell Islands Rd (Route 24), Orr's Island.
