Health and Wellness Fair (Fri. 6 Oct, 2017 10:00 am - 2:00 pm)

October 6, Friday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Harpswell Aging at Home (HAH) will host a Health and Wellness Fair at the Harpswell Community School, 308 Harpswell Islands Road.  The event will include presentations on exercise classes, emergency preparedness, medicare part D, and HAH’s Home repair resource program. Representatives from many community organizations involved in health and wellness programs will be available to provide information as well as flu vaccinations and blood pressure checks.

Concert Benefitting Human Rights Education (Fri. 6 Oct, 2017 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

The Leopard Girls will perform their eclectic blend of jazz, rock, blues, and pop music at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Brunswick next Friday, October 6, at 7:30PM. Doors open at 7:00PM with a $10 suggested donation. All proceeds from the show will benefit the educational programming of the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine, a nonprofit education center and exhibition space located in Augusta.

Leopard Girls is a five-piece act from Maine made up of Chris Simpson, Scott Woodruff, and Gary Lawless - formerly of Jimmy Midnight and The Yurtbirds – with Ben Hunsberger (welcomefarmmusic.com) and drummer Hal Ahlers of Blues Buzzards.
