“Images of a Lifetime; 90 Years and Counting” (Wed. 4 Oct, 2017 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm)

Thornton Oaks Retirement Community presents “Images of a Lifetime; 90 Years and Counting” an exhibit by world renowned photojournalist, Robert A. Freson. The exhibit opening is Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Freson will discuss his work and respond to questions.

Robert Freson was born in Belgium in 1926. He studied at the College St. Pierre in Brussels until 1944 during the German Occupation of World War II. He later attended l’Ecole des Arts et Metiers in Vevey, Switzerland where he studied for three years and received a master’s degree in Photography.

Mr. Freson immigrated to the United States in1948 and became a citizen in 1952. His first job was in New York working with the late Irving Penn in the field of photo-journalism. Over the course of his career he has photographed dozens of celebrities, contributed to many publications and has earned numerous international awards for his work.

The public is invited to attend this free event. The exhibit remains open to the public during select times throughout August and September. Please call our business office at 373-4600 to find out times the exhibit is available for viewing.
