Curtis Library to Offer FREE Money Smart Family Meal

Brunswick, ME] – – Curtis Memorial Library invites the community to a Money Smart Family Meal Night on Thursday, December 17 at 6:00 pm.

During Money Smart Family Meal Nights, the Library offers workshops for all ages at the same time. "A free meal is provided and busy families can participate without having to find childcare or cook dinner!" said Adult Services Manager, Sarah Brown. "We want to make it easy for everyone in the community to participate and benefit from the Smart investing@your Library grant."

Curtis Library is partnering with New Ventures Maine, to offer a series of Money Smart Family Meals. Each event includes a free meal and age-appropriate programs to teach adults and children the basics of budgeting, credit and saving through a series of games, activities and everyday tips. In December Erica Quinn Easter will discuss how adults can reduce debt, improve credit, and maintain a good credit score. Children will enjoy their own workshop learning how to save money by making DIY gifts for the holidays.

This program is made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation through Smart investing@your library®, a partnership with the American Library Association.

Please register by calling the Reference Desk at 725-5242 x510.
